Bovone Stonedge 11/45
The Bovone 11/45 Edger features a variable angle, for edging & arrissing between from 0° to 45°. The machine fits two conveyors made in cast iron and protected by a special paint coat to avoid oxidation. It is possible to have on request conveyors lengths different from the standard ones, in this case conveyors will be made of steel with the same technical solutions.
The shafts of conveyor belts pulleys are made of stainless steel, with shielded ball bearings, isolated from water leaking by means of special devices. Conveyors belts are polyurethane-made and belt rails are realized in high density polyethylene. Glass holding caterpillar tracks are made of linking elements. Stainless steel pivots, where tight bearings are fitted, assure articulation. Tracks motion is performed by gears without driving chains, in order to assure a long life and facilitate the sheets feeding.
Front track pads are coated with a special grooved rubber able to grip firmly small-sized sheets and to compensate slightly uneven surfaces.
Back track pads are made of vulcanized rubber fitted on the pad itself; this allows the maximum stability.
Caterpillar elements and pads have been especially shaped to insulate at best the sliding guides. The track sliding rails fitted on beams are made of hardened and rectified steel, thus allowing a considerable precision and durability of the sliding surface. They are mechanically fitted and therefore can be replaced.
The machine fits an automatic centralized lubricating device, checking oil level and lubricating operation.
Swivelling beam and arrises supporting frame are made in cast iron.
Wheels are fitted on motorspindles. Their casing is entirely made of cast iron in order to enhance stifness and stability; they are provided with high precision ball bearings and with a special system for watertightness, which warrants a long life.
Motorspindles’ cooling is provided by a large-sized fan fitted on the shaft.
Slides of polishing wheels made of rubber cerium for flat edge and arrises are movable and are endowed with a pneumatic equipment to exert a constant pressure on the sheet (also adjustable).
Controls for back arris wearing compensation adjustment are situated on the front side of the machine, in order to simplify setting operations.
Front arris slide is part of the front beam, thus keeping unvaried arris width despite thickness variation.
